Day 33

December 22, 2007

89.5kgs

Well, I am down 0.1kgs since yesterday. I am happy with that, because I went slightly off my eating plan. I had dinner at lunch time, and then had some scrambled egg on toast, at dinner time. This means that I had an additional meal during the day and still lost weight!

This afternoon I am going out for dinner to an Italian restaurant, so I am not too hopeful for tomorrows weigh in. I do intend to do a good work out on the Power Plate and go for an extra long walk to compensate though!

Day 32

December 21, 2007

89.6kgs

Up 0.2kgs since yesterday? This is confusing. Since I have dropped below 90kgs, I have gone down, then up, then down, then up. It is a bit strange. I didn’t get to take a walk last night. I am going to try to do this at least five days a week, maybe even every day, because it does help me to sleep better, and it has a positive effect weight wise.

I am not going to touch the Power Plate today, because they guys at Power Plate recommend a 48hour wait between each muscle. I might start splitting my session, and working upper body one day, and lower body the next. That way, I will be able to use the Power Plate every day.

Day 31 Update

December 20, 2007

Whe you buy a Power Plate you can “avail of unlimited training at their National Training Centre”. Today I went for my first training session. I have been using the Power Plate for four weeks now, but I wanted to learn how to get the most out of the Power Plate.

I met with my instructor at 11am and we went into a private studio which had a Power Plate in it. He asked me what I was looking to achieve and a few other questions. It was all very relaxed. We then went through each of the exercises on the Power Plate poster, and he showed me how I can modify the exercises to make them more intense and more effective. I really learned a lot.

I left the studio 90 minutes later and now have a plan for the next few months on how I am going to use the Power Plate. I was exhausted, because I had done more than you would usually do in a workout. It was an extremely worthwhile session.

While the Power Plate isn’t cheap, this level of support is really incredible. You essentially have unlimited access to a Personal Trainer to advise on the user of the Power Plate and access to their studio, for free!  Two thumbs up for Power Plate!

Day 31

December 20, 2007

89.4kgs

Well I lost 0.4kgs since yesterday and I have now lost 7kgs in total in 31 days. I am getting very close to the 14 stone mark which will be another milestone for me.

I ate some cod and fresh vegtables (carrots and green beans) for dinner yesterday. The same dinner I had the previous day. Fortunately I don’t really get bored eating similar meals, but saying that, I am going to have something different for dinner this evening. Don’t know what though!

I am going to the Power Plate studio today to get a workout plan from the professionals. When you buy a power plate you are entitled to free trips to their studio. They will put together a training plan for me. I am looking forward to this, because up until now I hae been using the machine “my” way, rather than in a more structured way.

Day 30

December 19, 2007

89.8kgs

This morning I am up 0.3kgs, and I don’t really know why? Actually, I had two yoghurts yesterday. I had one in the afternoon, and then had another one after dinner. Maybe that is why. Usually I had a bowl of yoghurt with berries after dinner, but instead I had a Muller something yoghurt instead.

Otherwise my diet was the same as usual. I didn’t drink as much water yesterday either. I think I only drank two litres. Usually I am drinking three or four litres per day.

I slept in this morning and didn’t wake up until someone in the office phoned me at 9:30. It is now 10:30 and I am just going to get my breakfast. A bown of fruit and bran and  glass of Adez soya and fruit juice.

Yesterday I took a walk to the shop and I increased my speed. I even ran the first kilometre. I think gradually over the coming weeks I will run further each time I go to the shop, and then eventually I will be jogging all the way!

I am not really concerned about small fluctuations up in my weigh, as I am sure I will get back on track within a couple of days if I keep sticking to my healthy eating plan.

Day 29

December 18, 2007

89.5kgs

The fifth week of my challenge has started well. I have droped 0.6kgs since yesterday, and I have now smashed through 90kgs! It now means I only have 9.5kgs to go.

I am really happy with the progress so far. When I get closer to my goal I am going to go clothes shopping and treat myself. I think by the time the January sales start I should be ready to go!

I am going to go for a walk today, a little further than I have been going. Up until now I have been walking for 30 – 35 minutes. Today I am going to increase it to 45 minutes. I am also going to do a workout on the Power Plate.

Day 28

December 17, 2007

90.1kgs

Four weeks now completed in my challenge, an I have nearly broken through 90kgs. Down half a kilo since yesterday. This week has been my most successful. I have lost 2kgs this week. In total in the 28 days so far, I have lost 6.3kgs, petty much 1 stone!

I have noticed that my flexibility has also improved. Credit here really has to go to the power plate. I did a test yesterday. I tried to touch my toes, and fell about two inches short. Then I did a 60 second hamstring stretch, and after that, I could wrap my fingers underneath my toes! How cool is that!

Day 27

December 16, 2007

90.6kgs

Well I had a mince pie with some cream last night. Maybe it is the reason why I am up 0.1kgs. I did go out for a 35 minute walk last night, and when I got home I just fell fast asleep. I was hoping to have come closer to breaking 90kgs today but unfortunately no.

I am going to see some friends today, but this evening I am going to go for another walk. Similar distance, but I am going to increase my pace a little. Looking forward to breaking 90kgs!

Day 26

December 15, 2007

90.5kgs

I did a good power plate workout last night and it seems to have paid off. I am down another 0.2kgs. I have really started to notice the difference. My clothes are much looser, and when I look in the mirror I can really see a difference. Quite a few people have also commented about it to me.

I am really looking forward to breaking through the 90kg mark. It is just a matter of days now I hope.

This evening I am going to cook a chicken stir fry.

Day 25

December 14, 2007

90.7kgs

Another positive move. Down 0.1kgs since yesterday. I am a quarter of the way through my challenge and I am 4.9kgs, so I am on track!

I haven’t done much exercise in the last few days, but I am going to do a power plate workout today and then later I am going to go for a walk to the shops.
