Day 60

86.6kgs

Well it looks like yesterday was just a blip, because after yesterdays 0.4kg increase, today I have had a 0.5kg drop!

Yesterday I didn’t get to walk, because I was out at a meeting and didn’t arrive home until 11:45pm, and it was too late to go walking at this stage. I did do a Power Plate workout though which was great. This evening I will be going for a walk, and I will try to make up for missing two in a row!

Day 57 – Update

January 15, 2008

Just back from my evening walk. I extended it a little tonight and it took 30 minutes. Very enjoyable. On my way to bed now!

Day 55 – Update

January 13, 2008

I am going to make up for my lack of walking last night by going to my local park for a walk this morning. The park is huge, 240 acres, so while I am not going to walk around the whole park, I will try to walk for one hour.

Day 53 – Update

January 11, 2008

Just back from my walk this evening. It was very cold out, but I was wrapped up so I stayed warm. There was ice on the paths and the roads.

I ate out for dinner and although I had the chicken caesar salad, I did take some fries from my girlfriend. Fingers crossed I will still be on track tomorrow!

Day 53

87.3kgs

Amazingly, today I am down 0.1kgs. Even after the “oven” chips and the cheesecake, I still managed to lose weight! This can only be put down to the walking. I just had a look at my spreadsheet where I store my progress and I am now down 9.1kgs which equates to 20 pounds!

I am trying to go for my walk every day, and make it a habit. It is working so far.

I was slightly concerned when I reached 89kgs that I would find it very hard to go below that. It took me about two weeks to drop from 89kgs to 88kgs. Obviously the time of year (Christmas week) played a major part in this, but now that Christmas is gone I am back on track and 1kg per week is definitely achieveable.

Day 52 – Update

January 10, 2008

I was out in my girlfriends parents house for dinner this evening, and had fish and chips. The chips were oven cooked, which hopefully isn’t as bad as fried chips.

Then to top this off, I had some strawberry cheesecake for dessert. I didn’t want to have it, but they got it especially for me, because they know how much I like it.

When I got home I went for a walk. I followed my normal route and it took 25 minutes. I felt like I had much more energy when I was walking, which is great. Although it could be because I ate the cheesecake!

I am not too hopeful about tomorrows weigh in …

Day 52

87.4kgs

Another positive weigh in this morning. The walking is definitely having a good impact on my weight loss. Down another 0.3kgs today. That is 9kgs in total so far. Only 7.4kgs to go!

When I think about it, it is really about discipline. I haven’t done anything extreme over the past 52 days. I haven’t once left myself hungry. I have just re-educated my eating patterns and done a little bit of exercise.

Day 51 – Update

January 9, 2008

Just back from my walk this evening. It was raining, but I braved the elements and enjoyed it. I feel much better having gone for the walk. It took about 25 minutes. I work my Nike free runners, which wasn’t a good idea because my feet got quite wet. Tomorrow I am going to get a pair of the Nike ACG runners that are waterproof.

Day 51

87.7kgs

Another day, another 0.1kg drop! I went for a good walk last night. It was late, around 10:45pm when I went and it lasted just under 30 minutes. It was great, because as soon as I arrived home I fell asleep and slept right through until this morning.

I ate well yesterday. I had some cod for dinner and it was very nice.

I did a good Power Plate workout yesterday. The first proper Power Plate workout of the new year. I really have to get back into the habit with the Power Plate.

Day 46 – Update

January 4, 2008

Just back from my walk. Again, I did it in about twenty minutes, but I did stop at the shop to pick up a carton of Adez. I think I have a bit of an addiction to that juice!

It was very cold, but I wrapped up in a lot of layers and it was fine. I wore a jacket that I haven’t worn in a long time and it was really baggy on me. Last time I wore it, it was quite tight. Woo Hoo!

I ate out this evening, and had a chicken caesar salad.I also had half a porion of fries which was a bit bad, but it is friday.
