Have you been seeing results from using the power plate? The gym where I work out has one and I am intrigued by it. I used it for a few minutes today and was winded. What exercises do you do?
thanks

For me, I find it far easier to concentrate on improved energy, good moods and the positive things that losing weight can offer. For example, you said that you have a family dinner coming up. There's nothing which says that you have to overdo it. Coming from a large family myself (they love to prepare lots of tasty food) it's hard to be trying to lose weight - I have started on a new lifestyle after finding a great ebook at http://www.click2loseweight.com and it's helping me to break my food bondage - ' cause I loved to eat. You may want to try my tactics, get a salad plate and go around and pick and choose all the healthy things and pile your "small" plate with them. Coldslaw, toss salad, fish, chicken or meat, one spoon of rice or one bake potato and noone will be able to tease you about not eating. Eat very slowly, you will also trick yourself into believing that you are eating up a storm. Afterwards, for dessert eat a big bowl of fruit and finish off with a large glass of lemonade or tonic water with lots of ice and you'll get through it without any guilt and you may be able to stay on track and not fall off the wagon. Come back and keep us posted.

lets keep it real, 85k from 96k is already pretty great. have people noticed/mentioned?

i started off at 94 around the same time as you and am around 87 now, though my routine hasn't been as dedicated as yours (beers in the evening, etc).. but neverthless.. 87 making me feel pretty good about myself. i want to keep going too.. 83-84 my target i think... mainly its been due to me getting a nutritionist and going to a restaurant and having them daily (except weekends) cook me breakfast, lunch and dinner with 2 snacks. i just don't have the willpower to actively choose to eat healthy.. so if i just sign up for a month with them i don't even need to think about it.. all my food is just there ready to go. it also means i eat before 6pm everyday, which has done wonders.

my exercise habits have been pretty lame 1-2x a week for about an hour on the treadmill, but better than nothing.

good progress mate.

Thanks for checking in on me!

I think I am going to fall short on my original target, but my new healthy eating has become second nature. I do still intend to reach 80kgs, but it is going to take a little longer, but I am happy with that.

I haven't eaten chocolate since I started the challenge, and I haven't been to McDonalds, KFC or Burger King either! Which to be honest, is a big deal for me!

looks like you've made some good progress, but only 16 days to go to lose 4.6k .... if you don't make it by the end, you think you'll keep up the good health routine?
